People living with cancer deserve better CARE

Find out if you could participate in a research study for weight loss related to cancer, also known as cancer anorexia

What is CAReS?

The Cancer Appetite Recovery Study (CAReS) is a clinical trial investigating a new medication for people suffering from weight loss as a result of their cancer.

The study is being conducted at locations throughout the UK, Ireland and Norway which are currently seeking to enroll patients with cancer who have lost weight

If you have cancer, you may lose your appetite for several different reasons such as the disease itself, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or just from feeling sick. As a result, you can lose weight when you don’t intend to.

There are no approved medicines for increasing your appetite and ultimately your weight if you have cancer. The aim of the CAReS study is to see if a new medicine ART27.13 can help restore appetite and weight in patients with cancer.

What is cancer anorexia?

Consider the following questions:

1.  Are you living in the United Kingdom, Ireland or Norway?

2.  Are you clinically diagnosed with cancer?

3.  Have you unintentionally lost weight over the past 6 months?

If you responded yes to all of these questions you may be eligible to participate in the study. To find out if you qualify, please click below:
